Aziel has moved to heaven!
“His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Share your master’s joy.’ – Matthew 25:21 CSB
It is with a heavy heart that I communicate this news to you. Aziel and Ivette were my best friends.  I had envisioned them helping to take over my legacy in CEDCAS as they have served with us for years as friends and Aziel serving as our Board President. He will be greatly misses.
Aziel had been battling his renal failure and home dialysis for the past 2 years. He was such a faithful helper with the many teams that have come to work on their church, projects with CEDCAS and even taken people from the Santo Tomas church to the coffee plantation to work with ASOMOBI and groups coming from the States. He was such a godly man, loved the Lord and had a special place in his heart for children. As a couple, they could never have kids but God gave him other places to serve which involved so many children.
He served on the CEDCAS` Board for many years and he loved  to play with Camila when she was a baby. He also helped to celebrate Dr. Carla s 20 years with CEDCAS.  In memory of Aziel, we are going to build the pastoral house with the youth center on the first floor. This willl be on the lot where the church first began meeting. We were planning this project with Aziel and then he got so sick, we had to put everything on hold. We want to complete Aziel`s dream for a place for the kids to meet and have a home for a youth pastor someday as the church continues to grow. If you would like to give a gift in memory of Aziel, please use the button below.

Another great friend has moved to heaven …

Karen Hendershot married Ralph and promised to come to Costa Rica with him on a mission team. Ralph had been coming with Pastor Dan Vititoe for many years and Ralph wanted to share his joy with Karen. Karen promised to come on ONE trip but then she enjoyed it so much she never missed a trip after that. Ralph had passed away several years ago and now we said good-bye to Karen. We will miss her greatly too.

Camila is on her way to first grade. We attended her graduation on Friday and had so much fun watching the children sing and dance. Her class played the violin with their professor.
We praise the Lord that the family has been well and able to attend their school activities. We are so blessed that when we talk of death, Cami said that her great grandfather was with Jesus. She was very firm when she stated this fact.
