Mission teams, best way to encourage us!

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV ..

Great video of the work and evangelism carried out by Calvary B.F.C. in Costa Rica.
Every January, we have the privilege of having a mission team come from Calvary BFC in Pennsylvania. This year was no exception and we had 24 participants, 7 different churches represented from 5 different states. This was a world record since the pandemic in 2020. We praise the Lord for all of those who decided to step out of their comfort zones and come to serve with us.
We worked on two different sites that were within walking distance. One was the painting the inside and outside of Marlen´s house, our cook for the mission teams. The second site was painting the roof tops of 3 shacks which needed to be protected from rusting and also help keep the heat down.  It was a special rubbery water paint used for this purpose
The group worked really hard and finished up sooner than expected. I had bought a special varnish for the doors in the clinic but did not really think we would be able to paint them but I was wrong. They were able to sand and paint 42 wooden doors in the whole building! Incredible work.
Each year the team brings back packs, school supplies and other items plus lots of candy. We were able to help 203 kids stay in school this year.  Other things we supplied were: scientific calculators, 5 computers for high school students and uniforms to half the kids. We also helped with the insurance that each child needs to have to attend school.  This was possible because many of you partner with us. We praise the Lord for his goodness and provision
We have the help of Laura Winch each year, who has come to help with VBS at the Baptist Church in Santo Tomas. This is always a highlight for the teams as they are able to have plenty of contact with the kids. They can give many hugs, smiles and loving time where the love and hope of Jesus are demonstrated. These smiles do not require knowing Spanish.
Sundays are always special  as we have the opportunity to worship with the church of Santo Tomas. The praise team and Bible teaching help to lift up our spirits.
Pray for us as we continue to reach out in love the families we are working with. Pray that my support will come in as it has dropped in the last couple of months. This means  that the Mission will have to drop my support in the coming months. If you would like to help, please use the button below and help me meet my goal. Pray for our staff and President of the Board, Aziel, who continues to struggle with renal insufficiency.  He has been on home dialisis for the past 3 years while waiting for a kidney transplant. Pray with us that the Lord´s will be done.

Cami and Lucy have been free from colds and runny noses for which we praise the Lord. Lucy who is just 2, loves to care for “babies” even though they are bigger than her: Little Charlie is only one year old but bigger that she is:  She is into the princess dresses and wants to use them all day long: Rebeca and Chelo have been great parents and teaching the girls about Jesus.
This last team brought 75 pounds of bilingual books which Lucy loves to looks at. She is such a clown when it comes to dressing up. I am so thankful that both girls have a love for books. Continue to pray for them as a family.
